Vineyard Notes
The 2016 growing season began with unseasonably warm winter and spring temperatures across Napa Valley. Soils began to warm up quickly, which initiated an early bud break. Colder temperatures then followed, creating a smaller crop than previous years as winemakers prepared for harvest. Picking began in early August, proving to be one of the earliest harvests Napa Valley has ever seen. Across the valley, winemakers were happy to report the outstanding quality and great fruit concentration produced by the early harvest.
Predominant varietals include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Petit Verdot.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair our Two Range Red Wine with lamb tagine, vegetarian lasagna or dark chocolate soufflé.
Production Notes
Napa Valley is ideally positioned between two mountain ranges: the Vaca to the east and the Mayacamas to the west. Within the valley, grape character and flavor are unique expressions of the diverse soil types and microclimates. We hand select lots from this rich array of outstanding fruit, including vineyards within the Rutherford appellation, to craft Two Range Red Wine, a delicious and complex blend that captures the essence of this world-renowned wine growing region.
