Vineyard Notes
2020 started off with very little rain fall in California. This in turn led to an exceptionally dry and moderately cool winter. These two factors resulted in a late start to the growing season. The spring months were mild with a few warm days in June. The crop set nicely, although bloom and set were slow to pass through to the finish line. The beginning of June brought a few unseasonably warm days that pushed maturity back onto a more normal timeline. Harvest began within a few days of our average start date in the third week of August.
