- Appellation: Napa Valley
- Aging: 2 years in French Oak
The fruit for our Reserve Cabernet is sourced from the Oak Knoll appellation and our two estate vineyards in the Rutherford appellation, Franklin and Abela. Perfect climatic conditions and the region’s deep, loamy, well-drained soils produce dark, intensely-flavored Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Our rich soil sets the foundation for an exquisite, cellar-ready wine that will evolve in character and quality for years to come.
Food Pairing Notes
This Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful complement to ribeye steak, rack of lamb or mushroom risotto.
The winter of 2013-2014 was one of the driest in California’s history with Napa Valley receiving only half of its average rainfall. But, with respect to grape quality, there was good news: heavy rains in February and early March gave the vines emerging from dormancy a rejuvenating boost.
Furthermore, the overall dry season resulted in smaller berry size with concentrated characteristics that added depth to the fruit’s inherent favors.
