Food Pairing Notes
The wine’s fruit and herbal aromas and soft tannins pair
beautifully with richly flavored dishes like grilled pork chops,
mushroom risotto and stuffed bell peppers.
The winter of 2013-2014 was one of the driest in
California’s history with Napa Valley receiving only half of
its average rainfall. But, with respect to grape quality, there
was good news: heavy rains in February and early March gave
the vines emerging from dormancy a rejuvenating boost.
Furthermore, the overall dry season resulted in smaller berry
size with concentrated characteristics that added depth to the
fruit’s inherent flavors.
