Vineyard Notes
The 8-acre vineyard, bordered by the Silverado Trail and Zinfandel Lane, forms the appellation’s northeast corner. Environmentally sensitive farming methods insure that the property’s creek, a major passageway for steelhead trout and chinook salmon, maintains its healthy, pristine condition, unsullied by harmful chemical fertilizers.
Food Pairing Notes
The wine is luscious and full-bodied with fine-grained tannins. It is ready to be enjoyed now but, with thoughtful storage, will continue to evolve in flavor and character through 2030. Pair this complex Cabernet with roasted duck, spicy tuna tartar, or a grilled ribeye steak.
Production Notes
Franklin 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our family’s Franklin estate vineyard in Napa Valley’s Rutherford appellation. Of the valley’s 16 AVA’s (American Viticultural Area), the region’s terroir has an unsurpassed reputation for producing world-class Cabernets.
